Maks Gabriel is a Canadian-American music producer, composer, and songwriter whose work spans multiple genres and formats. With credits in pop, country, rock, and film/TV, Maks brings depth, emotion, and technical precision to every project he takes on.

He began his musical journey with over a decade of classical piano training at McGill University’s Conservatory of Music in Montreal. From 1991 to 2002, he studied under the renowned Russian concert pianist Marina Goglidze-Mdivani, a direct student of Emil Gilels, one of the most respected pianists of the 20th century. This classical foundation gave Maks a deep understanding of musical form, emotion, and discipline—qualities that continue to define his approach to composition and production today.

In his early career, Maks worked closely with Ryan Kowarsky of the group RyanDan, co-writing and producing hit songs for major Canadian artists including Belly, Massari, Mia Martina, Danny Fernandes, and Tyler Medeiros. His work on Mia Martina’s album Devotion earned a Juno Award nomination for Dance Recording of the Year. These early successes solidified Maks’s role as a sought-after producer and collaborator in the Canadian pop scene.

After relocating to Nashville, Maks expanded his musical reach into country, rock, and alternative pop, collaborating with artists such as Cassadee Pope, Radney Foster, Eric Paslay, Honey County, Svrcina, CB30, and Runaway June, along with members of 3 Doors Down and a wide range of Nashville’s top songwriters. His versatility and sensitivity to each artist's unique style have made him a trusted creative partner in both writing rooms and studios.

Maks’s music for television and film has been placed in hit shows including Yellowstone, CMT’s Nashville, Roswell, New Mexico, Legacies, True Blood, The Mindy Project, and Containment, among many others. He composes original cues and licenses songs that enhance storytelling through music—balancing emotion, mood, and narrative flow. His work is known for blending cinematic sound design with strong melodic sensibilities.

Today, Maks Gabriel continues to write, produce, and compose for artists, music supervisors, and filmmakers. With a constantly growing catalog and a passion for impactful storytelling through sound, he remains committed to creating music that moves people—on screen, on stage, and beyond.
